Knows as "Rome of the East", "Tourist Paradise" and "Pearl of the Orient",
the state of Goa is located on the western coast of India in the coastal

belt of Konkan. The magnificent scenic beauty and the architectual splendors
of its temples, churches and old houses have made Goa a firm favorite with
travelers around the world.
But the, Goa is much more than just beaches and sea. It has a soul which
goes deep into unique history, rich culture and some of the prettiest natural
scenery that India has to offer. Besides the natural beauty, the fabulous

Location: Goa is situated along the western indian coastline, approximately 105 km
long and 65 km wide. This Indian state of Goa, with a total area of 3701 sq km,
shares its border with states of Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Climate : This Indian state of Goa enjoys warm climate through out the year. The temperature

varies from 28° c to 29° c during July and August and touches a maximum of 33° c
during May. Though Goa is warm through out, this konkan land does not
experience that unbearable heat as of the plains of India. During monsoons,
this Indian state of Goa receives around 250 to 300 cm of this time,
fishing and swimming in the sea is a strict no-no. From October,
Goa adorns a pleasant climate and this goes on till February. It is
this pleasant climate of Goa that attracts across the world throughout the Year.
